Raising Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Kids

Put your Heart into it...

...and celebrate life just like Sarah! For February Heart Month, we are partnering with Cook Children's Health Care System in a giveaway for an automatic external defibrillator (AED)! Over the past 6 years Run for Sarah has donated 50 AEDs to schools and youth serving organizations. Here are our rules for the AED Giveaway! Good Luck!

ELIGIBILITY

  • A non-profit, youth oriented organization within the state of Texas
  • The organization must not already own an AED system.

    GIVEAWAY RULES

  • The contest will begin on February 1, 2012.
  • The organization must write a letter describing why they need the AED.
  • All letters must be received by February 10, 2012.
  • Letters will be reviewed and all eligible organizations will be posted on
  • the Cook Children's Facebook page on February 10.
  • The organizations will then receive votes based on the number of 'Likes' the organization receives.
  • On February 17, organizations will be eliminated from the competition with the lowest amount of votes. The top organizations will then be entered into a second round of voting in which the letters will be posted on the Cook Children's Facebook page for voters to read.
  • The winner of the competition will be announced on March 1, 2012.
